Expressing your feelings at such a sensitive and emotional time can often be difficult. For centuries, people have used flowers to express their sympathy and thoughts.
You can order floral tributes in the following ways:
1. By visiting any of our funeral homes
2. Telephone any of our funeral homes or dial direct to our in-house florist Carol on 01202 776600

Principal arrangements
Here we are concerned with the floral tributes that will be placed upon the coffin. The decisions made in this respect are very important as the flowers are likely to be the main focal point throughout the funeral. Consideration should be given to the overall size of the tribute(s) in relation to the coffin. If there is to be more than one tribute placed upon the coffin, consideration should also be given to the design of each tribute and the colour scheme so that they are complement each other. It is certainly desirable that the same person (florist) makes all of the tributes that are to be placed upon the coffin itself.
Double ended coffin sprays. This type of arrangement is ideal for the coffin and in our opinion is what looks most elegant. They are very flexible in size and in what flowers can be used in their make-up. The following are therefore only examples; you may direct how the tribute is made. A typical price for a half coffin length arrangement would be around £100 and around £225 to cover the whole coffin lid. This price depends greatly on the type of flower requested.
The double ended spray can be improvised to accommodate two or even three separate tributes while retaining its overall appearance. Two single ended sprays (triangular shape) can be placed end to end or, to add the third tribute, with a small double ended spray in the between.
Floral crosses are suitable for decorating the coffin lid. The cross needs to be a minimum of 3' in length. The overall effect only works well when the cross is the only arrangement on the coffin lid.
Some other arrangements can look appropriate alongside the coffin rather than upon it. Pedestal arrangements and flowers that spell words such as 'DAD' or 'MUM'. These can be found in the miscellaneous section of flowers. Please do not consider having these type of arrangements upon the coffin lid itself.
Secondary arrangements
This section is designed for family or friends who wish to send flowers to the funeral but do not anticipate it being placed upon the coffin lid itself.
Single ended sprays - The most often requested
Tied sheaths - These are particularly suitable if you anticipate them being sent to a hospital (or similar) after the funeral has taken place. Although often wrapped in plastic, we strongly recommend against the its use.
Wreaths - Very traditional
Posies - Small and compact arrangements, often associated with being sent by children
Miscellaneous arrangements
Arrangements that spell words
Pedestal mounted
Often used to decorate the chapel/church where the funeral is taking place (Should be arranged in conjunction with the family if this is the case). Prices are from £75.
The unusual
Fighter Plane and Steam Train - These are examples only; there are infinite possibilities beyond these.
For such a specialised tribute, it is important to liaise directly with the florist who will make it as some subjects work well and others, unfortunately, do not.
Needless to say, prices are on application.
