History:
Milford-on-Sea is a small coastal village with a strong community spirit in a beautiful part of Hampshire. A funeral home has existed in the heart of the village for many years, and in 2001, Tapper Funeral Service took over the running of the business. A very old building, believed to have been a coach house in Victorian times, the funeral home was extensively refurbished to offer the highest standard of facilities while retaining the front façade to be in keeping with the rest of the village. Soon after the completion of the refurbishment, Joy Richards was appointed to our Milford Office.
Joy’s involvement with the funeral service spans over 35 years having worked alongside her husband for the Cooperative Funeral Service in Leeds for many years, and then moved to Poole to continue her involvement. Joy came to Tapper Funeral Service in 2001 in a part time capacity, and was promoted to full time as part of our stonemasonry team at Living Stones. In 2002, Joy was able to return to funeral arranging at our Milford Office, and continues to offer our client families the highest standard of service and care.
