Tapper Funeral Service is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors. This is the original and overwhelmingly leading professional body for the industry; it has close links with government committees and think-tanks and its policies and Code of Conduct have the backing of the Office of Fair Trading. The NAFD has Compliance Officers who travel the country inspecting members' premises and their facilities. In the event of a complaint against one of its members, the NAFD has a complaints procedure which ultimately reverts to independent adjudication via the Funeral Arbitration Scheme, which is binding upon its members. The NAFD also offer the public security against deposits taken for funeral costs.
