We have access to a wide range of funeral plans.
Once you have decided on the details of the funeral you may decided to take a specific plan or to have a bespoke plan, designed to your specification.
Either way, the funeral is paid for at today's rates and a guarantee is given that no further costs will be incurred at the time of death.
Our prepaid funeral plans are with Golden Charter. Golden Charter is the only funeral plan provider recommended by the National Society of Allied & Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF). Golden Charter has been accepted as a "Registered Provider" by the Funeral Planning Authority which protects money paid by consumers for pre-paid funeral plans.
Golden Charter pays the full amount of the plan into the Trust Fund where it remains until the time of death. The operating costs of Golden Charter are covered by the one-off administration fee when the plan is taken out. This is clearly shown on the paperwork. Clients may cancel the plan at any time for a full plan refund (excludes the administration fee) or they may move their plan to another funeral company should the home address change.
Prepaid funeral plans can be arranged at any of our funeral homes, by telephone, by e-mail, or you may like us to call to your home to discuss.
A plan may be taken for yourself or for a relative. One plan can be taken to cover the first person to die in a relationship.
People choose to take a prepaid funeral plan for some of the following reasons:-
• To ensure the details for the funeral are in place
• To ensure adequate funds are in place to cover the cost
• To reduce the value of their savings while alive so to qualify for state benefits
• Simply to 'get one's house in order'
