Reading, poetry and music
When preparing the content of a funeral service you may like to consider some readings and/or music.
Readings are thought provoking texts: they may be Biblical or from other religious books; they may be spiritual or entirely secular.
Music can take the form of hymns or songs that the congregation will sing together during the service; there may be some recorded music, perhaps a piece that was a favourite to the family that can be played during the service for the congregation to listen to.
You may have some content in mind for the service but if not, we hope the examples below may be of interest. This is only a short list of examples; there are many more. Please ask us if you would like a wider selection.
