Donations to Charity

Important Note

Some credit card providers charge very large commissions upon transactions; some as much as 3%. We consider this to be too high and therefore do not accept some cards, including American Express and some variations of Master Card and Visa including those suffixed with ‘Corporate’, ‘Business’ or ‘World’. Normal Master Card and Visa should be fine. Transactions attempted with the higher charging credit cards will be declined by our Sagepay Account. If this should prove to be the case, we hope you understand that we cannot afford to lose 3% on a transaction charge, especially on in memorium donations where we pass on 100% of your donation to the charity and we pay the commission to the credit card companies.

Gift Aid

If you have ticked the box titled ‘Gift Aid?’ then you confirm that you are a UK Income or Capital Gains taxpayer. That you have read this statement and want the named charity or Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) to reclaim tax on the donation detailed on this form, given today. That you understand that other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify. That you understand the charity will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that you have given.

Please notify us or the charity or CASC if you:

  1. Want to cancel this declaration

Book of Remembrance

"Thank you for the memories Richard, your conception of ‘RTR Travel’ but above all else your kindness and thoughtfulness to your fellow Cherries. UTCIAD! "

Kathy Bartlett and Alan Toms - 29th January 24

"I met Richrad through the Hampshire Athletics Sportshall League many years ago. Richard will be sadly missed and it will be difficult to fill his role,he always appeared so calm and unworried. Our condolences to his family at this sad time. Ann Barter (U11 coach) on behalf of Andover AC"

Ann Barter - 24th January 24

"I first meet Richard when he help me with the results of the first Team Solent 5k. Over the twenty or so years i have meet Richard at many a venue all over the country. He was always friendly, helpful and we always ended up talking about our favourite football teams. ATC Bournemouth in Richard case. Hampshire athletics family will miss him greatly. Just sorry i could not be there today."

Peter Haynes - 22nd January 24

"I only knew Richard for a few years but had heard about him and the great work that he did for many more. He was always there in the background and kept everything running smoothly, quietly getting on with whatever he said he would do. We were lucky to have him come to SAC and in the last two years he came to administer the Vets league. Richard took care of scoring, results, non-scoring, printing the results, posting on the website and clearing up at the end. He did it all quietly and without a fuss, one man to do the job of several! It won't be the same without him."

Tracey Jones (SAC Chair) - 18th January 24

"Richard was a much respected member of the Hampshire Athletics family. He will be sorely missed. Sending our sincere condolences from all at Eastleigh Running Club."

Jim Doel (Eastleigh Running Club Chair) - 15th January 24

"I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Richard’s passing. I had various dealings with him over the years, through our combined efforts with Hampshire Athletics and Hampshire Sportshall, and always found him to be helpful, supportive and efficient. He will no doubt be sorely missed amongst the athletics community. Condolences to his family and friends. "
