Colin Hayley & Tapper Funeral Service Office in Highcliffe Dorset

The Hayley name has been associated with serving bereaved families in Highcliffe, New Milton and the surrounding areas for more than fifty years.

Colin Hayley was a Funeral Director in New Milton from the 1950’s until only just before his death in 2014; an extraordinary personal commitment to his local community.

In 1992, Colin Hayley and the Tapper Family joined forces and opened a funeral home in Old Milton Road, and in 1995, a further funeral home was opened in Lymington Road, Highcliffe.

Colin’s son Julian followed in his father’s footsteps, joining the Company in 1993 and in turn, Julian’s wife Sue soon afterwards.

In 2010 the old building in Lymington Road was demolished to make way for a new, purpose built funeral home, which was opened in May 2011 and offers a spacious and modern environment with the Highcliffe Castle Chapel of Rest.

In 2022 Jack Stanisstreet took up the role of Manager and Funeral Director for the area working alongside Julian and Sue. He brings with him over 15 years of experience of funeral arranging from funeral homes across the south of England

Colin Hayley and Tapper Funeral Service Office in Highcliffe

Complete Funeral Services for Dorset and Hampshire

From our Highcliffe funeral home on Lymington Road, families can access the full range of services provided by Tapper Funeral Service and Harbour View Crematorium.

Although we are firmly part of the local community, every arrangement is supported by the wider expertise, facilities, and care of our dedicated team.

From Traditional Funerals to Simple Direct Cremations and Celebrations of Life

Whether you are planning a traditional funeral, considering a service at Harbour View, or looking for a more personal or non-religious ceremony, everything can be arranged through our Highcliffe office.

The cost of a funeral depends on the level of service you, the family or the deceased loved one choose to have. There is a growing trend towards simple unattended or direct cremations without a formal ceremony, followed by a celebration of life gathering at a venue of choice convenient for all friends and family.

Pre-paid Funeral Plans and Bereavement Support

We also offer pre-paid funeral plans for those wishing to make arrangements in advance, along with direct cremation options, including unattended cremations for a simple and lower-cost choice.

Support continues beyond the funeral, with free access to the Outlook Bereavement support service, offering guidance and reassurance in the weeks and months following the loss of a loved one.

Our aim is always to provide compassionate, locally delivered care, supported by the full professional experience of Tapper Funeral Service, a family-owned and operated company helping bereaved local families since 1904.
