Alan Rice and Tapper Funeral Service Office in Bournemouth Dorset

In 1996, Tapper Funeral Service took premises in Wimborne Road, Moordown and was delighted to welcome Alan Rice as Company Director and Funeral Director at this office.

Alan, Bournemouth born and bred, began his career at Bournemouth Crematorium in 1978 as a certified cremator operator and chapel attendant, moving on in 1984 to train as a Funeral Director and worked for bereaved families in the Poole and Bournemouth areas.

Having served nearly 30 years, Alan has recently taken a step back from management but remains in daily contact with the team. Ian Pyne is Manager of the Bournemouth office and works alongside Alan to support local families at the time of bereavement.
