Floral arrangements to decorate a coffin (principal arrangement)

When choosing floral tributes to decorate a coffin it is important to consider the whole picture: will this be the only tribute dressing the coffin? If not, is the design of it complementary to the other flowers? Will the size of the tribute in relation to the top of the coffin be as I would like? Is there anything else dressing the coffin that I need to take into account? We can help you to sort through these questions.

It is often advisable to liaise directly with our Florist - the availability of certain flowers often varies with the season, and many families also have specific requests, which our Florists can assist with.

Coffin sprays are extremely flexible as they can be of vitually any size and follow the dimensions of the coffin lid giving an attractive and symmetrical display; a single coffin spray can be constructed as two ‘halves’ to give a similar visual appearance. Alternatively to sparys, floral crosses are suitable alternatives as again the dimensions follow those of a coffin. Floral tributes that spell words or names, such as ‘MUM’ or ‘DAD’ are very popular but are best displayed next to the coffin rather than dressing the top of it; the plastic frame of such arrangements does not work well with the dimensions of a coffin resulting in the word being difficult to read. Word/Name tributes, much like pedestal arrangements are best presented alongside a coffin but positioned to face the congregation.
