In 2006 an opportunity arose to purchase a garage and car showroom on the corner of Barrack Road and Portfield Road in Christchurch. By the end of 2009 the old buildings had been demolished and a new purpose built funeral home designed and built.
The new funeral home offers ample parking for clients, comfortable private lounges in which to discuss arrangements, private chapels of rest and a Ceremony Hall for funeral ceremonies to be conducted.
Tapper Funeral Service is proud to serve the people of Christchurch and surrounding areas from this funeral home.
Simon Spendlowe is an Area Manager and manages our Christchurch office.
He commenced his career within the funeral profession in 1989. He has obtained his professional qualifications through the National Association of Funeral Directors - Diploma in Funeral Directing (Dip FD) and Diploma in Funeral Service Management (Dip FSM).
Simon oversees health, safety and environmental management for the Company. He graduated from the University of Portsmouth, obtaining the degree of Master of Science (MSc) with Merit, in 2012. His academic research focused on safe working practices within the UK funeral industry
Presently, Simon is a Trustee (Vice Chair) for Age Concern Christchurch. He is also a school Governor (Co-opted) at Bournemouth School – Chair of the School Experience Committee and Vice Chair of Resources.
He is also a Rotarian at the Rotary Club of Ringwood.
